So glad you stopped by my little blog where I try to document the happenings of us...."a&e".

I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Eli, for 6 1/2 years. We grew up going to the same church since we were basically babies. 

Our story starts when I was in the 4th grade. We were in a church musical together...and my little 4th grade self started noticing a cute 5th grader. During one of the performances we were positioned beside each other during the last song where we proceeded to step on each other's shoe strings...making us laugh through the last part of the song (we even have the whole thing on video!). I guess you could say that's where it started for me. His charming smile won me over. 

I spent the next several years being that girl who was chasing that boy that the whole youth group wanted. Finally, during my Junior year, something changed. That boy started noticing me and FINALLY asked me to be his girlfriend. 

He's been my best friend ever since and I am truly the luckiest girl in the world to be his! 

We are excitedly awaiting the birth of our first sweet little baby in June and are so thrilled to enter this phase of parenthood! 

Eli has been a youth pastor for the past 4 1/2 years. We have been at the same church since he graduated from college in 2010. He loves his job and is fantastic at what he does....such a blessing. He's an avid KC Chiefs fan and loves to golf (as well as play just about any other sport). He will make you smile and keep you laughing...one of the things I love most about him. 

I am currently a nanny for some of the sweetest kids on the planet. I absolutely love my job and feel so honored to be the one who gets to spend my days with them. When I'm not hanging out with kids, I enjoy photography (www.ashleyelizabethphotographyblog.blogspot.com), interior design, and being outside (if its warm). I enjoy spending time designing and redesigning our house to make it our home as well as doing a little bit of helping others do the same. I believe I was meant to live by the beach...and in a place where there's warm weather year round. Maybe someday.
