We have made this a tradition for several years now and it's one of the things about fall I look forward to the most! An art project that screams fall but isn't your typical paints/paper craft. The kids LOVE doing it too! And I absolutely love the colorful little pumpkins they create when they are all finished!

Cole & Charly {Fall 2013}
Tuesday, November 12, 2013
Couldn't pass up the opportunity to take some fall photos of these two cuties. The falls colors in Kansas have been gorgeous this year. I really can't remember a fall that's been this pretty. We have been trying to soak it up! We went out to the lake near our house for these pictures. It was a perfect afternoon...and the kids looked so cute! They make it so easy to get awesome pictures...and they are always so willing to let me practice on them! Love these two kids so much. They make my heart happy!
Charly took this picture...and then Cole took the next one of Charly and I. I have pretty awesome little assistants.
Pumpkin Patch {October 2013}
Monday, November 4, 2013
The pumpkin patch is something I look forward to doing with the kids each year. They love it and there's no better way to enjoy fall than the pumpkin patch! We go to one about an hour away from us and LOVE it. It's seriously the best! They have so much there for the kids to do...keeps them entertained for hours. The kids and I made a little countdown on their chalkboard so they could mark off the days until we went.
My friend Jennifer and her kids Maya, Adelynn, and Sawyer got to come along with us! I'm so glad that they did...the kiddos had a blast together and I loved having an adult to talk to while we were there! We ended up picking the perfect day too. The weather could not have been better!
pumpkin painting {2 year old style}
Monday, October 28, 2013
Sawyer spent the day with me recently and I wanted to try painting a pumpkin with him. I asked him if he wanted to paint a pumpkin and I was a little surprised at how excited he got. We got in the car to go pick out our pumpkins and the whole ride his little voice in the back was asking "punkin patch, Ash?". We went to our pumpkin patch (or Wal-Mart) to pick out our perfect little pumpkins for painting. He carried it out to the car all by himself and kept it in his lap the whole way home.
Once we got home he picked out what colors he wanted and we headed outside. I had planned to sit down and paint one with him, but before I could sit down he had taken over and was painting both pumpkins...so I got to take pictures instead. He looked way cuter painting his pumpkin than I ever would have anyway.
